About Us

Treehouse Development Finance, LLC (“TDF”) provides funding to developers for early-stage renewable energy projects.

Our primary financing tool is a debt instrument (the Development Loan Agreement or “DLA”).

Our Experience

We support our partners with an experienced team of infrastructure development and operations professionals.

Through its affiliate Treehouse Investments, the TDF team has been investing in renewable energy projects around the world since 2013.

Through its affiliate Aspenall Energies, the TDF team has developed, owned, and operated renewable energy projects in the US and Puerto Rico since 2007.

Our Process

The DLA operates much like a line of credit.

During the term of the DLA, the Sponsor can submit early-stage projects along with detailed budgets to TDF for approval. Once approved, the project becomes a Borrower and can draw down funds in support of project-related operations.

Loans are collateralized by the project assets and are intended to support early-stage development work, including initial studies, preliminary agreements, and related Sponsor overhead.
